About Dana

I am an editorial marketer who connects people to brands across platforms with consistently positive KPIs. I create editorial voices for businesses and build scalable strategies with a focus on honest content, brand development, traffic acquisition, partnerships, revenue, media exposure and engagement. From mission statements to ground-up brand identity construction, expression, management, and activation, I put 15+ years of experience to work to create indelible changes in the perception and characterization of brands.

Beginning as an online product description writer, I have spent years developing real brand voices through copy while matching them with their ultimate audiences. My social media campaigns have won accolades and were featured in “Entrepreneur Magazine’s Ultimate Guide to Pinterest for Business”. My traditional media strategies and campaigns were also featured in a course on public relations in the Wharton School of Business M.B.A. program. During my seven year tenure at Gifts.com (owned by both IAC and Liberty Media), we were nominated for three Webby Awards, won a People’s Choice Webby and earned two honorable mentions.

I keep my editorial writing style sharp with regular contributions to globally recognized digital publications. I have been interviewed for my lifestyle expertise by The New York Times, the Associated Press, The Chicago Tribune, Time Out, The Los Angeles Times, The NY Daily News, Martha Stewart Magazine, Working Mother, Good Day New York, Fox & Friends, TODAY in NY, to name just a few.

I relax by spending time with my husband and two young sons, studying French and Spanish, traveling the world (when possible), visiting friends and family, shopping, cooking elaborate meals for friends, and by listening to the wind in trees.

I’m also currently pursuing a hybrid, part-time global MBA at IE University in Madrid, Spain, ranked #1 in the world for online MBA by the Financial Times. I will graduate with a focus on global business innovation and entrepreneurship.

More about me:

I have 10+ years of developing and producing lifestyle media—covering food, travel, parenting, gifts, shopping, etiquette, sustainability, product testing and more—via advice, affiliate commerce content and branded media. Over the years, I’ve consulted on many brand development and user experience projects and love getting my hands dirty with calendar development and complex project management in remote work environments.

I’m passionate about identifying business growth opportunities and brand activations as well as creating proposals that help bring them to life. I’m comfortable using data analytics tools to guide decision-making, including Google keyword planner, hubspot and Adobe analytics to build effective omni-channel marketing programs.

I enjoy pulling all of the content levers from affiliate commerce to e-commerce, print to digital, social media to other innovative models of in-person activation. I created the Giftee awards (a crowd- and expert-sourced awards program) from scratch as a brand activation for Gifts.com, where I was director of editorial, social and public relations. I also envisioned and oversaw launch parties for Cinch local shopping app in Williamsburg, Brooklyn as vice president of marketing.

I’m experienced in strategic programming ideation, budget and operations management, and cross-company collaboration. My teams and I have helped launched consumer brands from Israel and Europe in the U.S. via strategic public relations and marketing plans.
